CivicNavigator · Means+Measures
Understand what affects you. Find a way forward.
CivicNavigator is a Means+Measures product and service in development for civic navigation and mutual aid. It brings plain-language document help, practical resource navigation, and human support into the same process.
A letter, form, or institutional decision can leave you with more questions than answers. CivicNavigator is being built to help you understand what you received, organize the relevant record, and carry useful information into your next interaction.
Understand the paperwork
Housing notices, benefits correspondence, insurance forms, court papers, and school or government documents—explained in everyday language.
Keep a useful record
Bring the documents, questions, and next steps together so you can return to the process without starting over.
Find practical routes
Connect your situation to resources and people who can help, including services across the Kansas City bi-state metro.
Down through systems. Up through people.
CivicNavigator grows from the original BJL13 civic-assistance application into Means+Measures’ document-forward infrastructure work. The direction remains personal agency, understandable processes, control over personal information, and support for the people already doing the work.
While we build
The application is not yet available as a public service. You can use the Kansas City resource directory now, or contact Means+Measures about CivicNavigator and potential collaboration.
